Using the Search Feature

Enter keywords - any text pertaining to your search. Choose the search method - find all words, any words, or the exact phrase. You may also perform an advanced search of the database.

Choose whether you wish to find the exact words as entered, or a near search of similar keywords (helpful when you are not sure of the spelling or if there are multiple spellings). The similar keywords search is not applicable in the advanced search.

Select from the category list if you wish to narrow your search to specific categories. If you do not select a category, the search will automatically look in all categories.

Browsing Job Ads

Browse all of the job ads in a category. If you are signed in, you can store job ads in your list by clicking "Add to My List" in the top of the job ad. Click "Close This Window" to close the job ad.

In each job ad, there are options to send email to the advertiser (only for display ads), visit their web site (only for display ads), print the job ad out, and send the job ad to a friend.

Registration

Becoming a registered user allows you to receive Email Alerts and store job ads in a personalized list. Registration is easy. Enter your email address, name, zip code, and choose a password. Your email address will be your user ID for signing in. When you first register, you will be sent an email to confirm your registration. Simply click on the link in the email and sign in!

When you are signed in, this option allows you to update your registration information.

Sign In

Sign in using your email address and password. Once you are signed in, you can view your personalized list of job ads, and request email alerts.

Once you are done with your session, you can click here again to sign out.

My List

You have the option of storing a job ad from the search results in a custom list for convenient retrieval. When browsing a job ad, click "Add to My List" to place the job ad in your list. You can store up to 25 ads in your list. To edit your list, check the boxes next to the job ads you want to remove from your list.

Email Alert

Automatically receive an email when a job ad arrives of your interests! Enter your search criteria as you would when searching for job ads - the database will immediately send you an email notification when the job ad you seek arrives! It's a convenient way to keep up to date on specials you want to know about. Create an email alert by selecting "Add", then select search criteria for your alert. In addition, when searching or browsing, click 'Add this search to your email alerts' to receive an email whenever a new job ad in your search arrives. You can also remove alerts here by clicking on "Remove". You can have up to 5 email alerts running.

Power Search

Advanced searching allows you to insert SQL syntax into the keyword field.

• "near" allows you to search for keywords near each other.
Ex: "honey near ham" returns honey baked ham
• Double quotes can be used to group a phrase together.
Ex: "metal roof" would return ads only containing metal roof
• Segment of keywords can be searched using a wildcard (*).
Ex: "lawn*" returns lawnmower
• [] return records containing similar words.
Ex: [care] will return care, cares, and cared
